The exhibition Mar dos Céus (“Sea of The Skies” is the closer I can get for English) took place in the southern part of Tagus river near Lisbon, on the historical Frigate ‘D. Fernando II e Glória’. The ship's manufacturing was concluded in 1843 and it travelled the equivalent to five journeys around the world for a full duration of 33 consecutive years.
My conceptual idea for this event combined both photography and music, recreating the memorable journeys of the past across the deep blue seas under the skies above. It was integrated with the final thesis for the Strategic Event Management class of ESHTE’s Master of Tourism - Protocol discipline. The photos on display were taken in countless countries and the original soundtrack, which was heard onboard during the exhibition, recreated the atmosphere of such historical era.
